The Boosters Website is Up and Running

A website dedicated to Independence Boosters (Athletics/Academics/Arts) is now up and running. The URL is ihsboosters.com or indyboosters.com. Currently the site contains all Music Boosters information. You are encouraged to visit regularily for the latest news regarding Music Booster events.

A New Coordinator

Please note that Margaret Bierman has taken over the responsibility of lead volunteer coordinator from Patti Gaab. Thanks to Patti for all of her hard work.

Speaking of Volunteers

Music Boosters is in need of SIX adult volunteers for the City of Independence's annual Fall Fest, which will take place at Elmwood Park on Sunday, September 27, 2009 from noon to 4 p.m. The Music Boosters will be selling canned pop and bottled water.

Two volunteers are needed for each of three shifts:

Each shift has two or three band students who have already volunteered to help. Adults will oversee the students and be responsible for the cashbox.

This is a great opportunity to get involved in Music Boosters and get to know some of our fantastic kids. If you would like to help, please contact Margaret Bierman at 216-328-8538.

A Madrigal Dinner

On November 13 and 14 the Madrigal Dinner returns. This is a wonderful IHS holiday tradition. Set in medieval times in the tradition of the Boar's Head feast, the Madrigal Dinner is a beautiful evening filled with great food and music. Parents are needed in the kitchen to help prepare the food and clean up. Call Patti Gabb at 392-0554 (if you get this email, she may call you first) to volunteer.
